Iron-on Instructions


Regardless of backing, patches last best, allowing removal from worn clothing and reapplication, if sewn on.

  • Iron on backing applies best on smooth cotton or canvas fabric.

  • To apply to smooth cotton or canvas:


  1. Lay the clean garment or item on a flat surface.

  2. Turn iron on. Ensure steam is off with no water in the iron. Set temperature to the correct fabric setting for the garment or item.

  3. Place the patch (facing up) onto the garment or item where desired. Place a thin cotton cloth or tea towel over the patch area.

  4. Apply pressure with the iron in a circular motion for 10-30 seconds over patch area to ensure adhesion. Allow patch to cool.

  5. Flip the garment or item inside out, apply heat directly or through thin cloth with iron over the patch area until adhered. Allow patch to cool.

  6. Check to ensure the patch is adhered. (Repeat steps 4-6 as necessary).

  • Wash garment or item inside out to ensure its longevity.
